About The Position

Unifi is seeking an Airport Ramp Agent to support airline ground services at Newark Liberty International Airport. The role involves marshalling aircraft, handling baggage and cargo, operating ramp equipment, and potentially providing cabin services. No previous experience is required; paid training is provided. The position requires airport or other applicable credentials and a valid driver’s license, and involves physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather conditions and rotating shifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to obtain credentials required by airport, state, or customs authorities.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to frequently lift more than 70 pounds and constantly lift up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to constantly push and pull up to 70 pounds, and constantly walk, stand, reach above the shoulder, climb, crawl, stoop, squat, kneel, and bend.
• Ability and willingness to work rotating shifts and hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Ability and willingness to work outdoors in weather conditions that may include severe seasonal elements.

Responsibilities

• Marshall arriving, departing, and towed aircraft on the ramp.
• Perform wing-walker duties to protect aircraft wings from equipment during pushback and de-ice aircraft as required.
• Load, unload, sort, and transfer passenger baggage, airmail, freight, and company materials in and out of aircraft bins, belt loaders, and baggage carts.
• Operate ramp equipment, including bag tugs, belt loaders, aircraft tow tractors, water servicing vehicles, and lavatory servicing vehicles.
• As assigned, service aircraft, clean lavatories and cabins, restock supplies, and perform other cabin-service duties.
• Follow safety procedures and policies and complete work in a safe and secure manner in accordance with company safety and operational standards.
• Immediately report safety and security incidents and potential hazards in line with the Unifi Fair and Just Culture Policy.
• Perform other related duties as assigned within the skills, experience, and capabilities expected for the position.
