About The Position

The Airport Operations Agent supports flight departures and arrivals by reviewing flight, fuel, and payload distribution records to determine aircraft weight and balance. The agent communicates with pilots, ground crew, flight dispatchers, and fuelers; completes flight-related paperwork and computer records; coordinates arrival preparations and fueling; and maintains FAA-required files for compliance auditing. The role also advises Ramp Agents on flight-load distribution.

Requirements

• Able to work in extreme hot and cold weather and in small spaces.
• Eligible to receive appropriate security clearances after satisfactory completion of a criminal background check.
• Familiarity with basic computer programs for record-keeping and baggage routing.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Flexible schedule allowing work nights, weekends, and holidays; some shifts may require extended hours to meet business needs.
• Able to lift, carry, push, pull, and move items weighing up to 70 pounds or more regularly.
• Able to observe, judge distances, and identify surroundings, hazards, aircraft, and equipment.
• Able to communicate by radio and other devices.

Responsibilities

• Read and analyze flight, fuel, and payload distribution records to determine aircraft weight and balance.
• Communicate accurately, professionally, and promptly with pilots, ground crew, flight dispatchers, and fuelers.
• Complete paperwork, daily logs, forms, and statistical reports for flight departures and arrivals, and enter information into the computer system.
• Notify ground crew when flights are approaching so they can prepare for arrivals and irregular operations.
• Prepare dispatch release forms and collect weather reports.
• Arrange aircraft fueling as needed.
• Maintain FAA-required files for compliance auditing.
• Advise Ramp Agents on flight-load distribution.
