About The Position

In support of the CH146 Maintenance, the Aircraft Maintenance Coordinator and Records Control Expert reports to the Maintenance Supervisor under the 424 Sqn embedded maintenance activities at Base Trenton, Ontario. Main tasks and responsibilities will include the following: Coordinate the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of the CH146 Griffon helicopters. Exercise daily control of maintenance priorities and servicing functions to flight schedule demands. Liaise with BTCL Maintenance Supervisor to assign maintenance tasks and trouble shoot snags. Liaise with the assigned Squadron Duty Ops officer to identify servicing requirements. Liaise with aircrew regarding snag clarification and recording. Liaise with Flight Engineers (FEs) regarding aircraft configuration change requirements. Liaise with the BTCL Supply technician regarding parts delivery. Ensure daily aircraft data acquisition systems backup. Act as the BTCL primary point of contact for technical publications. Assist in the management of the Tool Control system. Review and verify all aircraft maintenance records and ensure modifications are performed if required. Execute maintenance data transfer in the ADAM system for all scheduled inspections. Administer the AMO aircraft maintenance schedules and review the outstanding inspection and maintenance requirements for each CH146 aircraft inducted into maintenance. Ensure all off-aircraft maintenance documentation for individual parts is properly completed. Establish, maintain and update statistics of maintenance record accuracy and audits performed. Participate in annual prescribed audits. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director, Canadian Government Programs, by the BTCL Senior Maintenance Manager (SMM) or by the assigned Squadron’s Maintenance Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Hold an Aircraft Maintenance Diploma.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a position of aircraft technician in the Royal Canadian Air Force (preferably on the CH146 Griffon fleet, Bell 412, Bell A/C or other fleet experiences will be considered)
  • Good knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance Data Management System (ADAM, CH146 IETM/IETP, CH146 HUMS or other).
  • Knowledge of the Canadian Forces Technical Orders (CFTO) or Transport Canada (CARs) is an asset.
  • Strong organizational, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Autonomous and adaptable.
  • Work shifts (days and evenings), overtime and on-call.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite- Excel, Outlook, Word.
  • Any other combination of schooling and experience deemed equivalent may be considered.
  • This offer within the Canadian Government Programs Department is conditional on obtaining and maintaining the NATO security level required for the position.
