About The Position

Browns Shoes is looking for an Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our dynamic finance team, helping to ensure accuracy and efficiency in our financial operations. As the Accounts Payable Coordinator at Browns, you will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting the finance team’s daily operations. In this role, attention to detail, time management, and ability to work with numbers will be essential.

Requirements

5-7 years of experience in full cycle accounts payables.
Proficient with ERP platforms, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365 used for accounts payable workflows.
Experience processing and managing purchase orders.
Strong understanding of vendor term discounts.
Experience processing payments in bank portals.
Strong knowledge in EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) processing.
Familiarity with accounting systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication skills and a proactive attitude to problem-solving.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in the retail industry is an asset.

Responsibilities

Match invoices with P.O. receiving with or without term discount.
Verify price discrepancies.
Process and review vendor invoices.
Process EDI invoices.
Prepare payments in the bank portal.
Assist the finance department with the ERP transformation.
Collaborate with team members to ensure all payments and reconciliations are completed in accordance with company policies and deadlines.
Take on additional accounting tasks such as GL reconciliations to support the finance team.
Support year-end closing activities by preparing reports and resolving any discrepancies.
