About The Position

DPP is seeking an Aircraft Inspector III for an opportunity with a civil aerospace industry in Hagerstown, Maryland. This is an onsite W2 position for 12 months. As an Aircraft Inspector III, you will be using your skills and expertise to inspect aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and parts to ensure airworthiness and conformance to the manufacturer's specifications and government regulations. You'll be responsible for identifying any breach of standards for airworthiness. Your inspection authority will include all in-process inspections, final inspection of minor work (non-337 form), and approval for return to service of minor work (non-337 form).

Requirements

Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P).
Thorough knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment and parts.
Understanding and experience with the practical application of product audit and inspection processes and procedures.
Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 5 or more years of relevant experience.
Authorized US Worker - US Citizens and those authorized to work in the US are encouraged to apply.

Nice To Haves

Basic understanding of 14 CFR Chapter 1.
Understanding of civil or government aviation inspection operations and/or FAA Repair Station operations.
Inspection Authorization (IA) Designation.
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military.
A higher-level degree may substitute for experience.
Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education.

Responsibilities

Inspect aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and parts to ensure airworthiness and conformance to manufacturer's specifications and government regulations.

Perform in-process inspections.
