Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
Federal Aviation Administration Control Tower Operator certificate OR Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Licensed Air Traffic Control (ATC) Specialist.
Two (2) years previous ATC experience.
VFR Control Tower experience required.
Ability to control aircraft in accordance with FAA 7110.65.
Must obtain rating within time limitations stated in Army Regulation AR 95-2.
Relay METAR weather observations, logs data on appropriate form and transmits data as required.
Must be able to pass FAA Class IV Physical.
Ability to successfully communicate in the English language.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance at the Secret level, as applicable to the position requirement.
Ability to successfully pass any employment background check and/or drug testing required on the contract.

Nice To Haves

5 years aviation work experience.
Bachelor's degree in an aeronautical discipline or equivalent experience.
Current security clearance at the Secret Level.
Previous military experience.
Experience working on a federal installation.

Responsibilities

Ensuring safe separation of aircraft, coordinating air traffic control clearances, and controlling all flight line activities of all transient aviation.
Maintaining tower event logs, performing weather observer duties, and issuing all relevant notices and approvals for aviation transit activities.
Relay ATC clearances to inbound, outbound and over-flying aircraft.
Provide airfield advisory service to arriving and departing aircraft.
