About The Position

The Traffic Controller is responsible for the supervision and success of the Miami, FL transfer station. This role involves directing traffic, communicating with dispatch, managing equipment counts, supervising and training drivers, and ensuring efficient workflow. The Traffic Controller must also enforce all safety policies and procedures, ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations, and manage the operation and maintenance of heavy equipment. Tarping is also a required duty.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 3–5+ years of relevant experience in waste management, logistics, or operations
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions with exposure to noise, dust, and waste materials
• Able to sustain physical activity, including walking, standing, and lifting for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
• Ability to operate machinery and perform site inspection

Nice To Haves
