About The Position

Kearney & Company is seeking an Air Force (AF) Data Entry Analyst for the SAF/FMFO Accounting Policy Operations in Dayton, OH and various other locations in the U.S. The role involves supporting the day-to-day operations of Financial Management by serving and interacting with DAF Major Commands and bases. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing, reconciling, and correcting transactions to account for discrepancies, such as local or travel-related disbursements by Air and Space Force personnel or Interfund transactions. This position requires strong attention to detail and solid functional end-to-end AF Financial Management Accounting or Budget experience.

Requirements

  • Experience in DoD FM processes and procedures for posting accounting entries
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience
  • Ability to brief and communicate effectively with senior leaders and managers
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance (requires US Citizenship)

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university
  • Familiarity with AF Lines of Accounting and financial data elements
  • Experience reviewing computed travel vouchers
  • Experience reviewing miscellaneous collection and disbursement vouchers
  • Experience reviewing Interfund and IPAC transactions
  • Experience reviewing an Open Document Listing
  • Experience reviewing a Status of Funds (SoF)
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Azure, or High bond
  • Familiarity with the following systems/software and terminology: Advana, Central Disbursing System (CDS), Commander's Resource Integration System (CRIS), Defense Enterprise Accounting Management System (DEAMS), Deployable Disbursing System (DDS), Financial Management Suite (FMSuite), Query (BQ) General Accounting Finance System-Base Level (GAFS-BL), Integrated Accounts Payable System (IAPS), Intra-governmental Payment and Collection (IPAC), Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE), Reserve Travel System (RTS), Standard Base Supply System (SBSS)

Responsibilities

  • Ability to navigate AF accounting systems as well as feeder systems to perform data entry and/or data correction
  • Ability to analyze financial data using Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Power BI
  • Ability to analyze/resolve accounting issues identified by FM customers
  • Ability to utilize automated methods to create and update training materials, to include lesson plans, handouts, and others
  • Provide ad hoc and on-the-job training to AF Financial Managers via telephone, video-teleconference, webinar, or on-site visit (when local), to include general training for new users and functional problem areas
  • Provide support to the other teams within SAF/FMF, e.g., surge and end of year processes
  • Provide targeted assistance to users based on metrics, recurring critical task results, and results of other data analysis
