About The Position

Quincy Compressor is seeking an Air Compressor Technical Support Specialist to join their team. This role is crucial in providing assistance and expertise regarding Quincy rotary and reciprocating products. The specialist will support Field Service Technicians, the distributor network, and end users in the maintenance, service, and training of Quincy products. The goal is to assist customers in obtaining the technical information they need to be satisfied with their Quincy Compressor's performance. This position involves continuously updating personal knowledge of new products, modifications, and warranty policies, as well as assisting in maintaining current product documentation for the Technical Service Department. Daily reports of field problems will be provided, and training will be delivered to Service Technicians and distributors on product service and repair, both in service school and in the field. The role also includes administration of the remote monitoring platform (ICONS), accompanying service technicians to customer sites for air audits, compiling data, constructing reports, handling Industrial Air Piping design and modifications, performing Quality Air Auditing, Compressor Power Consumption Audits, and troubleshooting networking and connectivity of compressed air equipment. Requirements

  • High School Degree required
  • Knowledge of compressed air products and services.
  • Technical expertise.
  • Excellent phone skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to move about the facility (standing, walking) and occasionally at customer sites, varying by location.
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally (up to 40% maybe required).

Nice To Haves

  • Mechanical or Civil Engineering Degree (preferred)
  • 2 years’ experience in a relevant role (preferred)
  • CAD experience (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance and expertise concerning Quincy rotary and reciprocating products.
  • Support Field Service Technicians, distributor network, and end users in the maintenance, service, and training of Quincy products.
  • Assist customers to obtain technical information needed to be satisfied with the performance of their Quincy Compressor.
  • Continually update personal knowledge of new products or modifications to existing product lines and various warranty policies.
  • Assist in maintaining current product documentation for the Technical Service Department.
  • Provide daily reports of field problems reported by phone and email.
  • Provide training to Service Technicians and distributors on product service and repair both in service school and in the field when needed.
  • Provide training for internal and distribution.
  • Accept and complete any special projects/assignments that are not principle duties of this position but are in line with goal and objectives of this department and/or division.
  • Administration of remote monitoring platform (ICONS).

  • Compile data and construct reports in a timely manner.
  • Handle Industrial Air Piping design and modifications.
