About The Position
The Aide provides caregiving support to Residents, assisting with activities of daily living and meeting their physical, cognitive, and emotional needs with respect and dignity. Duties include personal care, meal and hydration assistance, mobility and toileting support, basic monitoring and documentation, and helping deliver activities for Residents. The role also performs housekeeping and safety-related duties, including cleaning assigned areas, handling linens and personal clothing, using cleaning solutions and facility equipment properly, and reporting safety, structural, or equipment concerns. The Aide may assist with kitchen duties and complete special assignments as requested. This position is classified as HEAVY. It requires constant standing and walking, frequent lifting and other physical movements, hand and finger dexterity, and adequate visual and hearing acuity. The Aide must be able to understand and follow written and oral instructions and perform basic mathematical computations.
Requirements

- Ability to meet the physical demands of a HEAVY classification: exerting 50–100 pounds occasionally, 25–50 pounds frequently, and/or 10–20 pounds constantly to lift or move objects; constant standing and walking; and frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, turning, and stretching.
Responsibilities
- Assist Residents with activities of daily living while respecting their physical, cognitive, and emotional needs and dignity.
- Bathe, dress, and undress Residents as needed.
- Assist with grooming, including hair care, mouth care, and nail care.
- Provide foot soaks according to schedule.
- Assist Residents with meals, including setup, service, and feeding when necessary; provide hydration and snacks as scheduled.
- Transport Residents and assist them with walking.
- Assist with toileting and change incontinent briefs; provide perineal care.
- Change bed linens and make beds.
- Record Residents’ temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration, food and fluid intake, and output as directed.
- Help deliver activities that support entertainment, socialization, exercise, relaxation, creativity, and spiritual fulfillment.
- Report observed changes in Residents’ physical, cognitive, or emotional well-being to a supervisor and document details in the electronic charting system.
- Clean assigned areas according to the cleaning schedule.
- Use cleaning solutions and solution apparatus properly and demonstrate knowledge of them.
- Follow Universal Work Precautions and use facility equipment properly.
- Perform housekeeping tasks such as laundering linens and personal clothing, cleaning bathrooms, taking out trash, spot-cleaning carpets, and changing light bulbs.
- Report structural or equipment wear, defects, and malfunctions to a supervisor.
- Perform or assist with kitchen duties as requested by a supervisor.
- Carry out special duties or projects as assigned.
