About The Position

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a Dietary Aide to prepare and serve meals for residents in a long-term care facility. The role supports HCSG’s commitment to positively impacting the communities it serves and enhancing customer and resident experiences. The Dietary Aide assists with meal preparation, serves residents according to dietary needs and portion sizes, and maintains clean, sanitary kitchen and dining areas while following food safety guidelines. The position also involves positive interaction with residents, staff, and guests and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
Ability to lift or carry a maximum of 30 pounds and push or pull a maximum of 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required where mandated by state or county law.
Residency within the service area is required.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in food service or a kitchen environment is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing salads.
Serve meals to residents according to dietary needs and portion sizes.
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
