About The Position

The AI Strategist internship is an 11-week paid learning experience focused on shaping T-Mobile’s AI-powered customer experience, including IntentCX, virtual assistants, and voice and chat bots. Interns work on real projects, collaborate with product owners, engineers, business stakeholders, and other team members, and receive mentorship. In a typical week, the intern writes and tests prompts, reviews results with product owners and engineers, and shares findings with the team. The intern will present a prompt strategy and its results to leadership, with the goal of improving customer experiences.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience prompting LLMs such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot through coursework, projects, or prior roles.
• Strong written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to write clear, precise instructions.
• An analytical mindset and comfort evaluating outputs and iterating based on data.
• Curiosity, urgency, and a desire to learn quickly on the job and build a career in consumer AI.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future.
• Have one or more courses remaining in a bachelor's or graduate degree program after the internship.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with few-shot examples, chain-of-thought, and system prompts.
• Experience with Excel, SQL, or Agile tools such as Jira.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, test, and iterate on prompts for conversational AI use cases such as chat and voice bots.
• Build and maintain a documented prompt library with versioning, best practices, and results.
• Evaluate prompt performance through structured testing and side-by-side comparisons, and recommend improvements to accuracy, tone, and containment.
• Create prompts and workflows that help the team with research, documentation, and analysis.
• Partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective AI behavior.
• Present the prompt strategy and results to leadership.
