About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking an AI Solutions Lead to own AI solution delivery within Wealth & Investment Management. This is a hands-on shape-and-build role combining elements of a Forward Deployed Engineer and a product leader. The role defines AI solutions and rapidly prototypes them, partnering with Technology for hardened delivery and with the Chief Product Office product manager, who owns the business roadmap.

The AI Solutions Lead finds the appropriate delivery path across a three-layer approach: building thin-layer applications using vendored capabilities and light custom components; configuring agents within approved platforms; and producing blueprints for WIM Technology to industrialize more substantial platform builds. The role covers delivery from solution shaping through prototyping, evaluation, pilot, and adoption, while preparing governance evidence, demonstrating business value, and presenting approaches and results to senior leadership.

The position follows a hybrid work schedule, is not eligible for visa sponsorship, and may require travel up to 20%.

Requirements

• 10 or more years of Artificial Intelligence Solutions experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through work, training, military experience, or education.

Nice To Haves

• Hands-on delivery experience with AI, machine learning, generative AI, RAG, automation, or agentic solutions; experience building solutions rather than only advising. Experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Customer Engineer, or Solutions Architect is preferred.
• Fluency with low-code/no-code and agent platforms such as Agent Studio, Claude Code/Cowork, Devin, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini Enterprise, and Cursor, as well as LLMs, agentic frameworks, and workflow orchestration.
• Knowledge of investment management, consumer-facing financial agent implementations, portfolio management, trade support, client reporting, operational servicing, or enterprise data ecosystems.
• Experience in wealth management, investment management, brokerage operations, asset management, or financial services.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and AI governance or responsible-AI frameworks in regulated environments.
• Strong business-case development, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and sometimes directly own end-to-end AI solution delivery, from shaping through prototype, evaluation, pilot, and adoption.
• Partner with the Chief Product Office product manager to author AI-specific PRDs covering users, success metrics, data, solution pattern, risk tier, and effort.
• Build thin-layer applications and configured agents using the approved toolchain, selecting the lightest delivery layer that achieves the intended outcome.
• Produce hand-off blueprints, PRDs, and user stories for WIM Technology to industrialize top-layer platform builds, and work with Technology to integrate solutions with systems of record.
• Work with the Model & Eval team to establish evaluation harnesses, golden datasets, and regression, accuracy, and safety evaluations, clearing the Stage-3 quality bar before build.
• Prepare governance evidence during prototyping, including AIRR, architecture (JAD) review, MRM tiering, and policy and ECM checks.
• Develop business cases and value-realization frameworks that quantify efficiency, quality, scalability, and client-impact benefits.
• Drive stakeholder engagement, change management, pilot cohorts, and field adoption; monitor realized value and identify opportunities to scale.
• Present solution approaches, evaluation results, and delivery roadmaps to senior leadership.
