About The Position

Baker Tilly is seeking an AI Solutions Engineer to build intelligent, autonomous agentic solutions that streamline business processes, integrate with enterprise systems, and support the development of AI-enabled work at the firm. The role combines business and technology in the delivery of finance and accounting services to clients.

The engineer works with colleagues and clients on application hosting solutions, including scoping, designing, and building applications and infrastructure-related components. The role also develops utilities, tools, data fixes, and Sage Intacct page-level customizations for implementation work and internal initiatives. Strong communication and collaboration with internal staff, external development vendors, and customer development teams are important. The role includes ongoing professional development and supporting teammates’ growth through Baker Tilly’s Care and Teach philosophy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least eight years of experience developing applications in a cloud-based environment, specifically AWS.
• Significant hands-on experience designing and developing AI- or agent-based solutions, including agents on MCP servers on Amazon Bedrock Agent Core and integrations with LLM provider APIs.
• Experience optimizing AI-based solutions for token efficiency and performance.
• Experience integrating data between systems using APIs.
• Hands-on experience developing solutions with AI development tools such as Cursor, Windsurf, and Claude Code.
• Strong understanding of AWS architecture, services, and features, particularly containers, serverless architecture, security, and networking.
• Experience with development languages and frameworks, especially Python and JavaScript.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication, collaboration, and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with PHP, NodeJS, or React.
• Experience with databases, including RDBMS and NoSQL.
