About The Position

Accruent is seeking an AI Software Engineer II for the VX Suite engineering organization, supporting the Maintain, Observe, and Sustain product portfolio. The role involves independently delivering moderately complex, production-ready SaaS capabilities and customer-facing AI experiences, from clarifying requirements and designing solutions through implementation, testing, deployment, and post-release validation and support. The engineer will use AI-native development practices, approved AI development tools, agentic workflows, software factory capabilities, and cloud-native technologies while maintaining quality, security, reliability, and customer trust. The role develops backend services, APIs, integrations, workflows, and scalable data processing capabilities for maintenance management, asset intelligence, operational monitoring, environmental compliance, and enterprise workflows. It also builds AI-enabled experiences such as intelligent workflows, automation, retrieval-augmented solutions, tool-enabled agents, and governed business processes. The position contributes to engineering practices through automated validation, reusable prompts and workflows, delivery automation, and mentoring AI Software Engineer I team members. The engineer works with Product Management, Architecture, QA, DevOps, SRE, Security, Support, and Customer Success. The organization is globally distributed, with significant collaboration across North America and the United Kingdom. Candidates must maintain at least four hours of daily overlap with UK business hours, and flexibility in working hours is expected. The role supports Accruent's Maintain, Observe, and Sustain products, including work order and preventive maintenance management, asset lifecycle capabilities, equipment monitoring and telemetry, predictive maintenance, environmental compliance, regulatory reporting, and shared platform services. Accruent serves over 5,000 customers in more than 100 countries. The company describes its employee development approach as “Grow Without Limits” and says it offers resources, coaching, and support for personal and professional growth.
