About The Position

We are seeking an AI Program Manager to lead coordinated execution of the enterprise AI Governance Roadmap. This role will project manage the bodies of work required to establish an authoritative AI policy and procedure framework, clarify ownership and decision rights, mature intake and inventory practices, and operationalize repeatable governance, risk, security, privacy, data, automation, and assurance capabilities across the organization. The AI Program Manager will serve as the central delivery leader for cross-functional AI roadmap execution, partnering with the AI Council, business stakeholders, Technology, Information Security, Risk, Compliance, Privacy, Data Governance, Operations, Legal, Third Party Risk Management, and external vendors. The ideal candidate brings strong program management discipline, executive communication skills, practical AI governance awareness, and the ability to drive clarity, accountability, evidence, and momentum across complex stakeholder groups.

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of program management, project management, transformation, governance, risk, compliance, technology delivery, or operations experience; financial services preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional programs with multiple workstreams, dependencies, control partners, and executive stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of AI governance concepts, including AI lifecycle management, risk classification, responsible AI, model risk, third-party risk, data governance, testing, monitoring, and audit evidence.
  • Strong delivery discipline, including roadmap planning, milestone management, RAID tracking, dependency management, governance routines, and executive reporting.
  • Ability to translate regulatory, risk, security, privacy, data, technology, and business requirements into actionable plans and accountable ownership models.
  • Excellent facilitation skills with the ability to drive clarity, resolve ambiguity, document decisions, and maintain momentum across senior and technical audiences.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including the ability to create concise executive materials and explain complex AI governance topics in practical business language.
  • High attention to detail and comfort managing evidence, documentation, policies, procedures, standards, dashboards, and readiness artifacts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, and project delivery tools; experience with Jira, Clarity, ServiceNow, Power BI, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, risk, compliance, data governance, or AI governance certifications preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior financial services, credit union, regulatory, audit, risk management, or technology governance experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead integrated program planning and execution for the AI Governance Roadmap across foundation, operationalization, automation, and assurance phases.
  • Coordinate delivery across AI Program & Governance, Risk & Compliance, Information Security, Privacy & Data Protection, Enterprise Data Governance, and Automation & Assurance workstreams.
  • Build and maintain the integrated roadmap, milestones, dependency map, workstream plans, governance calendar, and delivery cadence.
  • Drive stakeholder alignment across senior leaders, control partners, technology teams, business owners, and vendors to define scope, decision rights, ownership, review paths, and evidence expectations.
  • Facilitate working sessions, AI Council inputs, decision forums, risk reviews, and delivery checkpoints to move open items to closure.
  • Track and manage roadmap risks, issues, decisions, dependencies, assumptions, escalations, and action items with clear ownership and due dates.
  • Support development and implementation of AI lifecycle, intake, inventory, risk classification, testing, monitoring, incident response, reassessment, training, and governance operating model capabilities.
  • Partner with control functions to ensure governance deliverables include reviewable evidence, measurable controls, audit-ready documentation, and repeatable operating procedures.
  • Prepare executive-ready program updates, steering materials, roadmap dashboards, decision memos, and status reporting for leadership and governance forums.
