About The Position

Inova Health is seeking an AI Product Mgr to own the systemwide AI product portfolio and investment cases. The role sets a multi-year roadmap and success metrics tied to quality, access, safety, clinician experience, and affordability, and chairs product councils to approve model release gates and decommissioning. It drives innovation to improve system performance, workflows, and patient outcomes while ensuring initiatives align with IT architecture, institutional priorities, and regulatory standards. The position leads cross-functional teams through the full AI product lifecycle using agile methodologies, overseeing vendor selection, solution design, data pipeline development, and implementation. It integrates AI tools into clinical and operational systems such as Epic, ERP, and CRM; connects IT, clinical, analytics, and operational stakeholders; translates technical requirements into business cases; and communicates value to executives. It also supports user adoption through training, documentation, and change management. The AI Product Mgr ensures compliance with HIPAA, cybersecurity, and model governance policies. The role is accountable for privacy by design and security by design, including PHI-safe architectures for RAG/GenAI, and partners with Security, Compliance, and Legal on threat modeling and incident playbooks. It defines and monitors post-deployment surveillance for drift, bias, and safety signals, triggering retraining, data remediation, or rollback as needed. The role publishes product KPIs and cost-to-serve measures, manages model retraining, decommissioning, and lifecycle optimization, and owns total cost of ownership and budgets for AI products. It leads build/buy/partner analyses, negotiates vendor MSAs/BAAs with measurable SLAs, and leads continuous improvement efforts.
