About The Position

Marea is an AI-powered platform purpose-built for the dental industry, helping practices capture more revenue, reduce operational workload, and modernize patient communication. With products like an AI receptionist and clinical transcription, deeply integrated with leading dental PMS systems, Marea is redefining how dental practices operate. We sell into single-location practices, multi-location groups, and DSOs, often in partnership with PMS and ecosystem players. This is an early-stage, high-velocity environment with strong backing and a clear mandate to scale. Marea is part of Fluent Software Group (a Valsoft Corporation operating group), a global acquirer and operator of vertical market software businesses. We focus on specialized industries where expertise creates lasting advantages. We're hiring an AI Product Developer to join our product engineering team and help build, maintain, and improve the SaaS platform our customers rely on every day. You'll work directly with a small team of developers across the full stack, shipping features, fixing bugs, improving performance, and helping shape how software is built at Marea. This is a highly hands-on builder role where you'll write code daily, own features end-to-end, and have meaningful influence over technical decisions across the product.

Requirements

1+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript, Next.js, and Python.
Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar tools.
Comfortable working across the full stack, including backend, databases, and frontend technologies.
Strong software engineering fundamentals including Git, testing, debugging, and code review.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact directly with users.
A pragmatic builder who ships, learns, and improves continuously.
A strong sense of ownership and initiative when solving problems.
Collaborative, curious, and motivated to continue growing as an engineer.

Experience with SaaS and multi-tenant architectures.

Responsibilities

Build and ship product features across the full stack, from database to API to frontend.
Design, develop, and maintain production web applications.
Own features end-to-end, from design through deployment.
Contribute to technical decisions involving architecture, tooling, and engineering practices.
Debug production issues and improve platform stability.
Reduce technical debt while improving application performance and reliability.
Participate in code reviews and help maintain high engineering standards.
Support the team through documentation, on-call participation, and technical collaboration.
Work closely with product, design, and customer-facing teams to solve real user problems.
Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering efficiency and delivery speed.
Contribute to the development of AI and LLM-powered product capabilities.
Participate in technical discussions around architecture, tooling, and development best practices.
