About The Position

The CareSource AI Intern supports special projects, initiatives, and activities as assigned through a 12-week, paid summer internship program for college students. The internship provides real-world experience, opportunities to contribute to impactful company projects, seminars with CareSource leaders, an assigned mentor, and opportunities to develop skills and explore career paths. Work arrangements may be on-site, hybrid, or remote, depending on the opportunity. The AI Intern assists in translating business problems into AI-enabled solutions, validating AI outputs for accuracy, fairness, and regulatory alignment, and documenting use cases, workflows, assumptions, and results. The intern also prepares summaries, dashboards, and presentations for leadership and governance forums. The role operates in a general office environment and may require sitting or standing for extended periods. CareSource provides orientation, mentoring, training, feedback, and opportunities for further development.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Be a current rising junior or senior in an accredited degree program, or have graduated within the last six months.
Knowledge of relevant AI frameworks.
Ability to collaborate effectively in an in-office environment and communicate with various teams.
Effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Effective listening and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Dependability, flexibility, and ability to maintain confidential information.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with one or more programming languages, such as Python, R, or Java.
Hands-on experience with AI/ML techniques, such as machine learning, natural language processing, or computer vision.

Responsibilities
