About The Position

The AI Intern will join the People Operations team to design and implement intelligent, human-centered solutions that make work smoother, smarter, and more personalized. Working closely with our Technology and People teams, this role will explore how generative AI and automation can enhance the employee experience, streamline operations, and improve internal team efficiency. This position is based in our San Francisco headquarters and requires 3+ days in office. The internship can be full- or part-time for approximately 12 weeks, with the option for extension. Exact schedule can be adjusted to accommodate the right candidate.

Requirements

Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field.
Demonstrated curiosity about AI, automation, and digital transformation in the workplace.
Familiarity with tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft CoPilot, Zapier, Notion AI, or similar platforms.
Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to translate technical ideas into practical business solutions.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in managing multiple projects.
Thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience or coursework in Python, workflow automation, or dashboard design a plus.
Contribute to the design of a custom ChatGPT for People Ops

Responsibilities

Conduct a workflow audit to identify and document People Operations processes most ready for automation (‘Automation Map’).
Prototype automated processes and workflows to reduce manual effort and increase consistency.
Partner with the People Operations and Technology teams to integrate systems that support smoother workflows, especially around onboarding, offboarding, and employee changes (e.g., promotions, title updates, transfers).
Prototype an AI-assisted candidate sourcing tool for the People team as a pilot project.
Create a visual dashboard integrating People data and company metrics to generate actionable leadership insights.
Contribute to the design of a custom ChatGPT for People Ops (nice-to-have), supporting content structure, data organization, and prompt library development
Research, identify, and propose outside AI tools to assist with internal efficiency; assist with training and implementation.
Build and maintain AI learning resources and trainings for the People Operations team to support adoption of key AI tools.
Own data management and documentation for assigned projects, including tracking milestones, decisions, and outcomes.
Document project discussions and action items to promote accountability across AI-related workstreams.
