About The Position

The role focuses on using data, analytics, and technology to support construction projects and innovation initiatives. The position collaborates with management and internal teams to develop dashboards, data models, and analytical tools; establishes ETL processes; performs advanced analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning; and translates complex datasets into business insights that support data-driven decisions. It also helps identify gaps in data and business processes, improve data quality and integrity, contribute to the company’s data strategy, and support scopes and budgets for data-focused projects.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
At least 5 years of related professional experience in data engineering, analysis, business intelligence, and dashboard development.
Ability to design, implement, and maintain dashboards and reports in Microsoft Power BI and Excel.
Proficiency in SQL and Power BI, with advanced Excel skills.
Ability to derive accurate, clear, and meaningful insights from large and complex datasets.
Strong research skills, questioning ability, and natural curiosity.
Professional communication, networking, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to influence with or without authority.
Strong multitasking and time-management skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the construction industry, technology applications in construction, and digital transformation.
Developing knowledge of emerging technologies, software, and systems that create efficiencies in the construction industry.
Knowledge of Python, R, JavaScript, SSRS, and SSAS.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with management to develop dashboards and data models for key performance indicators, including project performance, win rate, and forecast pipeline.
Develop and maintain business intelligence dashboards, data models, and analytical tools.
Establish ETL processes to collect, clean, and transform data across varied data systems and structures.
Build analytical tools that promote a data-driven culture and assist with the company’s data strategy.
Perform advanced data analysis, including scenario analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning.
Analyze data and create data and business insights to advance the business and enable data-driven decisions across teams.
Identify gaps in data and business processes and collaborate with business process owners to improve data quality and integrity.
Maintain working relationships with internal teams, including Preconstruction, Project Controls, IT, and Finance.
Support development of scopes and budgets for data-focused projects and tasks.
Engage with clients to document and translate business requirements into project tasks, milestones, and deliverables.
Work with stakeholders to structure problems as analytics deliverables.
