AI Enablement Lead
About The Position
Tower Research Capital’s Core Engineering department is seeking an AI Enablement Lead to help the firm evaluate, adopt, and use AI tools effectively. The role tracks model and feature releases, evaluates their relevance to Tower, and drives adoption decisions. It partners with InfoSec and Legal & Compliance to move new capabilities through review, and connects users with AI and platform teams and vendors. The lead works closely with trading and research teams to understand their workflows, identify high-value AI opportunities, and help redesign processes. The role also develops enablement materials and sessions, measures AI adoption and impact, establishes consistent tool configuration and access, and shares successful approaches across teams. The position calls for hands-on technical experience, strong AI fluency, sound judgment, and the ability to own outcomes in an autonomous, fast-moving environment.
Requirements
- Daily hands-on use of AI assistants, coding agents, and agentic workflows, with fluency in modern LLM tooling and concepts such as prompting, agents, tool use, MCP, and workflow design.
- Strong views on how engineers and researchers can work effectively with AI.
- Hands-on technical background in programming, automation, data analysis, or product/engineering work.
- Ability to take an idea from discovery through prototype to production-ready, and judgment to know when deeper engineering support is needed.
- Track record of taking internal tools or platforms from early adopters to broad, firm-wide use.
- Strong product instincts, including asking the right questions, identifying root causes, explaining trade-offs, and pushing back when needed.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Sound judgment concerning responsible AI use, confidentiality, and operational risk, and comfort working with security and compliance partners.
- Ability to thrive with high autonomy in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, own outcomes, and make or coordinate difficult trade-offs.
Nice To Haves
- Experience building AI fluency or enablement programs for technical teams.
- Experience shipping tools or products for technical audiences, internally or externally.
- Administrator or power-user experience with one or more enterprise AI platforms.
- Familiarity with usage-based and token-based pricing models.
Responsibilities
- Track model and feature releases across the firm's AI tools, evaluate their relevance to Tower, and drive decisions about what the firm adopts and when.
- Partner with InfoSec and Legal & Compliance to review new capabilities and make them available to users quickly.
- Monitor the broader AI landscape and translate developments into concrete opportunities for Tower's teams.
- Establish measures of AI adoption and impact, and analyze usage data to identify where AI tools are and are not delivering gains.
- Work with trading and research teams to understand their workflows, identify where AI can help, and support redesigning processes rather than merely adding AI to existing ways of working.
- Enable teams by bringing relevant capabilities to them, running sessions, developing fluency-building materials, and making successful approaches reusable across teams.
- Define consistent AI tool configuration, access, and user experience across teams, and retire redundant tools.
- Connect users, AI and platform teams, and vendors; surface team needs, influence vendor roadmaps, and help colleagues navigate access, policy, and procedural questions.
