AI Enablement Lead

Legora•New York, NY
•$134,300 - $203,000•Onsite

About The Position

Legora is hiring an AI Enablement Lead to help its teams build, use, and govern AI effectively. The AI Enablement function is new and currently consists of one person; this role will own a significant part of its work, manage engineers, translate business needs into action, and serve as an internal go-to for AI. It is a high-ownership generalist role suited to someone comfortable with ambiguity and able to take initiatives from early ideas through delivery. The role spans three streams: Build, Enable, and Govern. The lead will coordinate agent and internal-tool development with engineers, deliver training and documentation, grow an AI champions program, provide day-to-day support, and establish practical guidelines, access policies, and usage guardrails. The role also involves building relationships and touchpoints that make the function visible and trusted across the organization. Success in the first six months means independently owning initiatives end-to-end across all three streams, making tangible progress on at least one initiative in each, and becoming a go-to person for AI Enablement at Legora. The position is based in Legora’s Union Square office in New York, and the company expects the person to work in the office five days a week.

Requirements

  • A few years of experience in a fast-moving environment, such as operations, strategy, product, consulting, or program management; the specific title matters less than the experience.
  • Genuinely AI-native or clearly progressing toward it, with a tendency to use AI tools by default and an interest in going deeper.
  • Ability to switch comfortably among strategy, delivery, and people-focused work.
  • Exceptional learning speed, including the ability to gain depth in unfamiliar areas quickly and incorporate feedback.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, low-ego style.
  • Enjoy working in the office five days a week.

Nice To Haves

  • An engineering degree or equivalent technical foundation, with enough coding exposure to work effectively with engineers.
  • Exposure to legal, go-to-market, or regulated or high-trust environments.
  • Experience with agent platforms, workflow tools, or no-code/low-code AI.
  • A track record of starting something from scratch.
