About The Position
Capco is seeking an experienced AI Developer to join our Loans team in Montreal. This role is focused on designing, building, and deploying production-grade AI solutions that drive operational efficiency and business value within complex financial services environments. You will work closely with technology teams, business stakeholders, and front-office users to develop intelligent solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing enterprise systems. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering expertise with hands-on experience delivering AI products into production environments.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of software engineering experience, including significant hands-on experience developing and deploying AI solutions into production environments.
- Deep expertise in Python and Java, with experience building scalable backend applications and APIs.
- Experience implementing AI-powered document processing, document intelligence, OCR, or unstructured data ingestion solutions.
- Understanding of enterprise application architecture, system integration patterns, and operational support requirements.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English - written and verbal. French is required to support clients in Quebec and with the majority of our clients and colleagues located outside of Quebec, specific language requirements may apply and professional proficiency in English is required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience within Loans, Lending, or broader Capital Markets technology environments.
- Fixed Income business knowledge and understanding of associated workflows and data structures.
- Experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer or in highly client-facing technical delivery roles.
- Familiarity with modern AI frameworks, LLM-based applications, retrieval architectures, and model deployment practices.
- Experience working with Sybase databases in large-scale enterprise environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy production-ready AI applications and intelligent automation solutions within the Loans technology landscape.
- Build document ingestion, extraction, and processing capabilities that convert unstructured content into reliable operational transactions and workflows.
- Develop scalable backend services using Python and Java while integrating with existing enterprise platforms and Sybase databases.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI-driven process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for reliability, performance, security, monitoring, and supportability.
