Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Quality Assurance Automation Developer will work in a dynamic environment inspired by Agile methodologies and will actively contribute to the development of OPAL-RT products. The role involves actively participating in the evolution of our real-time simulation platforms by following a behavior-driven development (BDD) approach.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or equivalent.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in test automation and/or software development and/or quality assurance.
  • Experience with integration testing and automated testing (Python, TypeScript).
  • Experience with continuous integration technologies (Jenkins, GitLab-CI, etc.).
  • Knowledge of best practices in test automation and integration of AI for quality assurance.
  • French required. An advanced level of English is required for reading technical literature available only in English.

  • Ability to interpret requirements and relate them to tests.
  • Ability to investigate and simplify bugs found during quality assurance.
  • Strong interest in automated testing systems, continuous integration, and Agile environments.
  • Knowledge of the following tools and languages: Git, GitLab, Playwright, TypeScript, Python
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban, etc.)
  • Experience with BDD

Responsibilities

  • Closely collaborate with the requirements owner, product owner, and developers in the development of features.
  • Lead the discovery, specification, and guidance of OPAL-RT products using BDD.
  • Write and maintain test scenarios, both manual and automated.
  • Collaborate within a team in an Agile environment.
  • Implement, execute, maintain, and document automated tests (Python, TypeScript).
  • Integrate tests into the continuous integration environment (Jenkins/Groovy).
