About The Position

Salesforce is seeking an experienced AI Delivery Lead to guide the transformation of engineering practices toward AI-first software delivery. The role will define and orchestrate a modern AI Software Development Life Cycle (AI SDLC), integrating generative AI, AI agents, and AI-assisted development tools into daily workflows across multiple engineering teams. It combines strategic delivery leadership with hands-on technical coaching, including modeling software craftsmanship and guiding developers through practical engineering work. The AI Delivery Lead will work across a complex organization to build trusted relationships, improve delivery and code quality, establish safeguards for AI experimentation, and help teams realize business value from AI initiatives. The role also requires communicating technical concepts effectively to executive and engineering audiences and speaking to audiences of 100 or more.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
10 or more years of technical product management, software development, or technical coaching experience, with a track record of delivering large-scale, high-impact digital products.
Applied expertise in Test-Driven Development, collaborative coding practices, refactoring, and design patterns.
Current knowledge of AI frameworks, the AI SDLC, and cloud AI platforms.
Hands-on experience with generative AI, large language models, agent-based architectures, and AI-assisted engineering tools.
Experience creating instructional content, facilitating hands-on technical workshops, and leading real-time collaborative coding sessions at scale.
Excellent public speaking, written, and verbal communication skills.
Success driving adoption of new developer tooling through advocacy and cultural change as a Technical Coach, Delivery Coach, or in a similar role.

Nice To Haves

Experience as a software developer and a proven track record of managing and leading developer teams.
Certifications such as PSM, CSPO, PMP, or SAFe RTE.
Experience in a large technology organization, preferably involving software and hardware.

Responsibilities

Define and drive adoption of an AI-first strategy and modern AI Software Development Life Cycle.
Guide engineering teams in integrating generative AI, agent-based frameworks, and AI-assisted development tools into their workflows.
Model and teach software craftsmanship through real-code coaching, collaborative engineering sessions, and Test-Driven Development.
Proactively identify stakeholders, establish relationships with senior leadership, and guide cross-functional teams through organizational complexity.
Work with developers on design patterns, refactoring, clean code, maintainability, and delivery speed.
Use data analytics to optimize workflows, track delivery, evaluate business value, and establish guardrails for safe, high-quality AI experimentation.
Identify and remove delivery obstacles, use AI tools to detect early warning signs, and guide teams through technical transitions.
Communicate technical concepts clearly to executives and engineering audiences, including through public speaking.
