About The Position

Toloka AI is seeking a Delivery Lead to own the successful execution of complex AI data projects across a portfolio of clients. This hands-on position combines project leadership, client management, and operational excellence, with accountability for delivering projects to high quality standards, on time, and within target margins.

The Delivery Lead manages virtual, cross-functional teams and coordinates engineers, supply managers, researchers, science teams, product teams, and other internal functions as needed. The role works closely with clients to understand requirements, manage expectations, resolve issues, and ensure delivery meets or exceeds expectations. The position requires strategic and operational leadership, with ownership of overall delivery outcomes and readiness to engage in project details when needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience in the AI space, particularly within startups, including working with clients and managing teams or projects at scale.
• Experience managing complex projects, including discovery, decomposition, scope planning, implementation, and adoption.
• Client-facing experience; a consulting background at Engagement Manager or Associate Partner level.
• Deep understanding of AI and GenAI technology and market trends, with basic knowledge of statistics, machine learning, data science, and data generation.
• STEM background, such as a BS or MS in computer science, mathematics, or physics.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery across a complex portfolio of projects, with accountability for data quality, timelines, client outcomes, unit economics, gross margin, and stakeholder reporting.
• Lead cross-functional delivery teams and project managers, keep projects on track, proactively identify and resolve risks and issues, and step in as a hands-on Delivery Project Manager when required.
• Oversee delivery planning, resource allocation, communications, project reporting, status updates, retrospectives, and execution standards.
• Partner with Business Development to scope opportunities, shape proposals, optimize delivery models, and transition prospects into commercially viable engagements.
• Build client relationships, manage technical stakeholders and communications, address delivery challenges, and support client satisfaction and retention.
• Motivate delivery teams, improve efficiency, processes, and workflows, and develop approaches to enhance execution quality.
• Roll out delivery processes, tools, and ways of working across the organization; gather feedback, measure impact, and refine the delivery model.
