About The Position

The AI Coordinator will support the Nisa Foundation in identifying, evaluating, and implementing artificial intelligence tools that improve organizational efficiency and streamline workflows. This role is ideal for students interested in AI, digital transformation, data analysis, and technology-driven innovation within the nonprofit sector. The coordinator will work closely with multiple departments to explore opportunities where AI can enhance productivity, automate routine tasks, and strengthen service delivery.

Requirements

  • Current student or recent graduate in computer science, information technology, data science, business technology, digital media, or a related field.
  • Strong research and analytical skills with interest in AI and automation.
  • Ability to learn new digital tools quickly and explain them to others.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada (Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or a protected person within the meaning of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
  • Able to provide a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN).
  • Must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment.
  • Must have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with AI productivity tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Notion AI) is an asset.
  • Interest in ethical, responsible, and privacy-conscious use of technology.

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify emerging AI tools and technologies relevant to nonprofit operations, marketing, HR, and frontline programs.
  • Evaluate potential AI solutions for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, ethical use, and alignment with organizational needs.
  • Stay updated on AI trends and best practices in automation, data processing, and digital transformation.
  • Assess internal workflows to determine where AI can streamline tasks (e.g., data entry, reporting, communication, content generation).
  • Support the creation of process maps and documentation outlining opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with teams to understand pain points and propose possible AI-supported solutions.
  • Assist departments with piloting new AI tools, including setup, testing, and feedback collection.
  • Help create guidelines and training materials for staff on using approved AI tools.
  • Support integration of AI-powered systems (such as chatbots, automation tools, or analytics platforms) into existing workflows.
  • Track AI tool usage, performance, and staff feedback.
  • Compile reports summarizing findings, recommendations, and potential next steps for scaling AI initiatives.
  • Document ethical considerations and ensure alignment with privacy and security standards.
