About The Position

The Marketing Coordinator supports the promotion of TIES programs, services, and events through content creation, outreach, and campaign coordination, contributing to increased visibility and engagement.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or currently enrolled in college or university
  • Comfortable with using technology, e.g. MS Office, Internet, skype, websites
  • Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of employment
  • Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN) at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation
  • International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizen or permanent residents

  • Experience working with non-profit organizations is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, creating, and scheduling social media content across platforms, ensuring consistency with TIES branding and messaging
  • Stay up to date with social media trends and platform features, contributing ideas for relevant and engaging content
  • Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns, including drafting content, preparing visuals, and tracking engagement
  • Assist with basic creation of social media content, including short-form videos (e.g., Reels) and graphics, under guidance from the Marketing team
  • Support website updates, including uploading content, maintaining program information, and assisting in building or updating pages (e.g., WordPress or Webflow)
  • Support event promotion by creating marketing materials, coordinating timelines, and assisting with outreach
  • Assist in developing visual content such as posters, graphics, and presentations using tools like Canva or Adobe
  • Maintain and organize digital marketing assets, ensuring proper storage and accessibility
  • Support internal communication efforts, including drafting announcements and updates
