AI Analytics Engineer - Traffic

eBay•Austin, TX
•$80,800 - $143,600

About The Position

The AI Analytics Engineer on eBay’s Traffic team designs and operates data products and analytical systems to explain, forecast, and optimize traffic behavior across eBay platforms. The role turns production telemetry—including logs, metrics, traces, and traffic events—into trusted datasets, scalable pipelines, and ML-ready features. It works across engineering, SRE, platform, application, and product teams to support platform performance, reliability, and efficiency at scale. The position builds data and feature pipelines for AI and forecasting use cases such as anomaly detection, incident prediction, capacity forecasting, and traffic attribution. It also delivers dashboards and analytical experiences that help teams understand latency, availability, error rates, saturation, regional behavior, and routing changes. The engineer applies statistical and analytical techniques to identify patterns and drivers of traffic and reliability outcomes, while improving confidence in data through quality checks, validation, freshness monitoring, lineage-minded practices, and alerting. The role does not offer visa sponsorship. The stated base pay range is $80,800–$143,600; actual pay may vary based on factors including location, skills, and experience. Total compensation may also include a target bonus, restricted stock units where applicable, and benefits such as medical, financial, 401(k), and paid time off benefits.
