Trimble is hiring an experienced full-stack engineer for its Payroll team within Trimble Financials. The role builds a React micro-frontend backed by an event-driven .NET payroll system and uses AI coding agents to support software development. The engineer independently owns the technical development, quality, and performance of complex work, operating with broad autonomy on ambiguous problems and helping set technical direction. The position focuses on secure, scalable architectures and delivering outcomes aligned with business KPIs. The engineer designs and improves workflows through which AI agents assist with coding, documentation, and refactoring. This includes establishing standards for agent oversight, code quality, and version control, and maintaining prompt libraries, agent skills, and evaluation datasets. The role also leads architecture and security reviews, authors and reviews architecture decision records, delivers end-to-end features, owns testing strategy, and mentors engineers in agentic development, code review, and system design. The frontend stack includes React 19, TypeScript, single-spa, Webpack, Trimble Modus components, TanStack React Query, React Router, and Playwright. The backend uses .NET 10, C#, ASP.NET Core, PostgreSQL, gRPC, REST, RabbitMQ, and Kafka. Shared infrastructure includes Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, GitHub Actions, and AI tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and Cursor. The role is based in Lake Oswego, Oregon, with onsite work four days per week.
