About The Position

Agtegra Cooperative is a farmer- and rancher-owned agricultural cooperative headquartered in Aberdeen, South Dakota, with more than 70 locations and 850 employees. The Agronomy Operations position assists all areas of the elevator as needed and provides prompt, efficient service to customers. The role delivers products and services to customers, operates equipment to load and unload chemical, seed, fertilizer, grain, and trucks, and assists with rail operations. It also supports facility and equipment maintenance, cleanliness, and compliance with government and company rules. The position frequently involves operating payloaders, skidloaders, tractors and mowers, locomotives, telehandlers, and forklifts. A CDL is helpful but not required; Agtegra will help the employee obtain one. The employee must follow safety and company rules and be able to work extended hours during busy periods, including nights and weekends. The work involves regular exposure to fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather, and moving mechanical parts, with occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions, high places, chemicals, temperature extremes, and electrical-shock risk. The noise level is usually loud. Physical duties include standing, walking, handling objects, climbing, bending, and lifting up to 100 pounds. Requirements

Diploma/GED or 0–1 year of related experience, or a combination of education and experience.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including regularly lifting or moving up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
Ability to work extended hours during busy periods, including nights and weekends.
Follow safety and company rules and regulations.
Demonstrate customer service, teamwork, productivity, customer focus, and adaptability/flexibility competencies.

Responsibilities

Communicate effectively with agronomy personnel.
Deliver products and services to customers promptly, courteously, and reliably.
Operate forklifts to load chemical, seed, or fertilizer for customers.
Assist with loading and unloading dry and liquid fertilizer.
Assist with facility, equipment, and grounds maintenance and cleanliness.
Keep the facility clean and neat in compliance with government and Agtegra rules, including cleaning dryers, legs, and conveyors.
Operate machinery and equipment as required.
Assist location personnel with loading and unloading trucks.
Assist with loading and unloading in rail operations as needed.
Receive and load out grain and fertilizer.
Follow all safety and company rules and regulations.
Work extended hours during busy periods as business demands, including nights and weekends.
Perform other duties as assigned.
