About The Position
Central Ontario FS, a division of GROWMARK, Inc., is seeking an Administrative & Sales Support role to fill a position within their agronomy, energy products, and grain marketing specialization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys assisting others and has an interest in agronomy, thriving in a fast-paced agribusiness environment. The successful candidate will go above and beyond to help customers achieve their goals by demonstrating expert knowledge of products and services.
Requirements
- Completion of college or other courses in agriculture.
- Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
- Working knowledge of general office procedures and computer software, with the ability to learn new applications.
- 2 years in a customer-facing role.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- A knack for relationship building and problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Desire to grow with the company.
- Willingness to work extra hours during the spring and fall planting seasons.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact and support for all sales processes, including sales orders, field plans, and delivery/blend tickets within the Agvance ag-retail software.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of all Agvance Sky applications and collaborate with the team to maximize their utilization.
- Manage the branch's 4R Retailer Certification, ensuring compliance with 4R standards.
- Maintain grower, farm, field, and boundary structures within precision ag platforms and displays for custom application equipment.
- Collaborate with the Precision Agronomy team to collect and communicate as-applied data and satellite imagery to grower customers.
- Conduct business with grower customers via phone and counter sales, and process product and service orders in Agvance.
- Organize soil sampling requests and results, and track re-sampling schedules for fields.
- Utilize the myFS platform to enhance the producer experience with Precision Ag and overall business operations.
