Agronomic Technical Consultant / Sales Representative - South East Virginia
About The Position
TIMAC AGRO is seeking an Agronomic Technical Consultant / Sales Representative to serve growers in South East Virginia. The role focuses on helping growers improve productivity and pursue more profitable, sustainable agriculture by building trusted relationships and providing advice about soil and plant nutrition products and technologies. The consultant travels throughout an assigned territory to meet prospective and current customers, educate growers and retailers, set up field demonstrations, collect data, represent TIMAC AGRO at industry events, and develop and execute a sales strategy for the area. The position offers a competitive base salary, uncapped commission and bonuses, training, schedule and travel flexibility, a company vehicle, tablet and cell phone, and insurance and retirement benefits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Sales experience or motivation to learn.
- Vision and drive to develop a strategic plan and execute it.
- Passion for sustainable agriculture.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships based on reliability and trust.
- Valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with growers and become a trusted advisor.
- Teach growers and retailers about TIMAC products and how the technologies can support profitability and sustainability.
- Listen to and understand customer concerns, needs, and preferences.
- Travel within the assigned territory to meet prospective and current customers and introduce products.
- Set up field demonstrations and collect data to generate future sales.
- Represent TIMAC at growers’ meetings and industry events.
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to introduce products to customers in the assigned area.
