About The Position

The Bilingual Aging Care Manager 3 position at the Lehigh County Area Agency on Aging offers a chance to make a real difference for older adults. This role lets you help adults in your community stay safe and supported in their daily lives. Choose a role that lets you support those who need it most! This position focuses on protecting older adults and supporting their ability to live safely and independently. It combines investigation, communication, documentation, and coordination with a wide range of partners.

Requirements

  • One year as an Aging Care Manager 2 or Aging Program Assessor; or One and one-half years of professional human services, law enforcement, or nursing experience; and a bachelor's degree in social sciences, behavioral sciences, human services, or a closely related field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes six months of professional human services, law enforcement, or nursing experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in Spanish.
  • Must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct investigations of suspected abuse, neglect, abandonment, or exploitation
  • Collect medical, psychological, and financial information to support service eligibility decisions
  • Prepare case histories, write reports, maintain complete records, and update information in the WellSky system
  • Work with families, social workers, physicians, courts, attorneys, and law enforcement to address consumer needs
  • Participate in joint visits, conferences, and meetings to plan and deliver appropriate services
  • Recommend and prepare cases that require legal intervention, including documentation, testimony, and communication with attorneys
