Aging Care Manager 3 - Protective Services (Local Government)
About The Position
Located in Honesdale, PA, Wayne County Area Agency on Aging (AAA) is seeking a qualified Aging Care Manager 3 to assist senior citizens in obtaining services that support safety, independence, and well-being. As an Aging Care Manager 3, you will serve as a lead worker for protective services, ensuring compliance with applicable statutes, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- One year as an Aging Care Manager 2 or Aging Program Assessor; or One and one-half years of professional human services, law enforcement, or nursing experience; and a bachelor's degree in social sciences, behavioral sciences, human services, or a closely related field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes six months of professional human services, law enforcement, or nursing experience.

- Be able to perform essential job functions.
- Pass a background investigation.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
- Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct complex investigations into allegations of abuse, neglect, exploitation, or abandonment
- Assess medical, social, psychological, financial, and environmental needs for high risk cases
- Develop and oversee protective service plans that reduce danger and improve safety
- Recommend court interventions and coordinate related actions, including participation in legal proceedings
- Coordinate support with agencies, healthcare providers, courts, and community groups
- Provide guidance to professional staff and review casework for quality and compliance
