Requirements
- One year as an Aging Case Aide 1; or Two years of public contact work, including one year in a human services program; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Meet the PA residency requirement.
- Able to perform essential job functions.
- Pass a background investigation.
- Pass a tuberculosis and drug screening.
- Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily support to older adults through personal care, meal assistance, and activity participation in the Senior Center and Adult Daily Living Center.
- Assist individuals with hygiene routines, mobility needs, and basic daily tasks.
- Support food preparation, meal service, and recreational programs for participants.
- Follow lifting procedures, report incidents, and apply safety and emergency methods.
- Update displays, help with forms, and support outreach and counseling activities.
- Guide participants during arrival and departure and assist staff with center tasks.
