About The Position

Allegheny County Department of Human Services, Area Agency on Aging is expanding its Protective Services Unit. This role focuses on directing and coordinating tasks that support the well-being of older adults across the community. It involves leadership, planning, and oversight of critical programs within the agency. As an Aging Care Management Supervisor 3, you will perform the following duties: Program Leadership: Develop program policies, implement initiatives, and apply strategic thinking to improve operations. Staff Oversight: Guide supervisors and staff, support innovation, and evaluate performance to maintain quality. Regulation Review: Interpret complex regulations, provide feedback on proposed changes, and ensure compliance. Planning Guidance: Assist with developing multi-year plans, design contracts, and incorporate community input. Agency Collaboration: Work with peers and providers to support a consumer-centered culture across all decision-making. Operational Support: Oversee agency functions in the absence of senior leadership and advance integration of service delivery.

Requirements

  • Five years of experience in public or private social work, one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity; and a Bachelor's Degree; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training including successful completion of 12 semester hours of college level courses in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, or other related social sciences.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Pass a background investigation.
  • Submit and obtain approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
