About The Position

Modernizing a legacy operational system using a microservices-based architecture and cutting-edge technologies. The System Automation Software Engineer will be responsible for executing manual and automated tests using a test framework, authoring tests utilizing Cucumber and Playwright, and executing load and performance testing, chaos testing, functional testing, and end-to-end testing. This role involves agile development and delivery of software, requiring effective communication and collaboration with team members and stakeholders. The engineer will analyze, design, verify, validate, implement, apply, and maintain software systems, appropriately applying discrete mathematics, probability, statistics, and other relevant computer science topics. They will also develop and provide appropriate documentation and training, and present briefings and demonstrations to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI w/ Full Scope Polygraph Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)
  • Knowledgeable in Microservices design & architecture, CI/CD, Test frameworks and automation, Agile Methodology.
  • A Bachelor’s degree plus 9 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree plus 7 years of relevant experience.
  • An Associate’s degree plus 11 years of relevant experience or high school diploma/GED plus 13 years of experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position.
  • Certifications count as a year experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Degree can be waiver for technical experience in domain skillsets outlined the requisition posting.
  • Proficient in Software development process
  • Programming Practice software quality through tools and processes
  • Develop software solutions
  • Design, develop, modify codes to support system requirements
  • Assist in developing innovative approaches

Nice To Haves

  • Playwright, Cucumber, JMeter, Swagger (or similar API tool), Selenium Tools: Cypress, 508 testing tools (JAWS or NVDA)
  • S/W: Java, Javascript, Python, Ansible
