About The Position

This is a temporary position with the Agency Office of State Human Resources Division Temporary Solutions. The role is classified as an Agency HR Consultant I (S) and is located at 1915 Health Services Way, Raleigh, NC 27606 - Wake County, with the Department of Health and Human Services. The hourly rate of pay is $28.00, based on education and/or years of relevant work experience. Temporary employees are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time and must be fully qualified for the job. This role offers exposure to an agency's culture, processes, and procedures, providing valuable experience for those seeking permanent employment with the state.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, typically in Human Resources or related field from an appropriately accredited institution; or High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and 3 years of progressive experience in Human Resources; or equivalent combination or education and experience.
  • Basic to working knowledge in the interpretation and application of federal laws and State HR laws, policies and practices governing HR.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in analyzing situations and making recommendations and/or decisions within delegated level of authority.

  • Management Preferences: Provide analysis and consultation of simple to moderately complex class/comp requests agency wide.
