About The Position

We are seeking a knowledgeable and personable Ag Content Specialist to join our team. This role is an entry-level position (1-3 years of experience) designed for a college graduate or someone a few years out of college who possesses strong agricultural knowledge and a basic understanding of markets. The workload is primarily focused on research and writing dedicated to supporting social media distribution and basic design tasks.

Requirements

• 1-3 years in agricultural communications, journalism, or marketing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• Required knowledge ranges from basic to adept. While multiple years of trading experience are not required, you must understand agriculture (specifically grains and livestock) and the markets.
• Required portfolio of published work or writing samples demonstrating an ability to write for an Ag audience.
• Strong writing, editing, and research skills.

Responsibilities

• Write high-quality, engaging articles, blogs, newsletters, and marketing materials on various agricultural topics.
• Translate complex market data into "digestible" insights specifically for farmers and stakeholders.
• Post articles to Facebook and LinkedIn and support the team with social engagement as needed.
• Monitor agricultural trends, best practices, and industry news to ensure content is accurate and timely.
• Assist with basic graphic design and video work to complement written content.
• Conduct audio and video presentations as opportunities exist to promote the company.
• Contribute to publications, recorded services, and other promotions as needed to build business.
• Maintain a consistent brand voice to ensure Trader PhD is viewed as a trusted authority in market intelligence.
