FMG Afterschool Assistant Site Director - Bilingual

Southeast Ventura County Ymca•Simi Valley, CA
•Onsite

About The Position

The Assistant Site Director serves as the primary on-site supervisor at an assigned afterschool childcare location, typically at a site with smaller enrollment. The role is responsible for day-to-day program operations during program hours and for ensuring a safe, engaging, high-quality experience for children and families. The Assistant Site Director implements the association-wide curriculum and participates in regular mentoring, coaching, and operational check-ins with an assigned Site Director. Staffing assignments are based on enrollment and program needs. At sites with fewer than 40 enrolled children, an Assistant Site Director generally leads on site with support from a Site Director mentor. Assignments may change due to enrollment fluctuations, licensing requirements, and program needs. Successful performance supports a well-run youth development program in which children and staff can succeed and develop age-appropriate skills, positive values, and effective work habits, while parents and staff build lasting relationships.
