About The Position

As an Aftermarket & Sustainment Engineering Repair Engineering Intern at Pratt & Whitney, you will be part of a multi-discipline Integrated Product Team (IPT) to establish repair requirements and ensure repairs are safe, durable, and meet the quality requirements of the Original Engineering Manufactured (OEM) parts. The internship will be in one of the following disciplines: Repair Design, Repair Structures, or Repair Project Engineer. Placement will be based on business need and candidate qualifications. The Repair Design role establishes repair design requirements, meeting all standard work requirements, and delivering the finalized repair back to the original requestor. Repair Structures Engineers are responsible for the structural assessments of repair tasks. Repair Project Engineering oversees all active repair tasks to ensure they meet Customer Requirements of cost, schedule, and worked to the appropriate priority to support the fleet. Engineering Interns at Pratt & Whitney work on challenging, meaningful, and impactful projects across our business. Our intern program seeks to help you develop an understanding of the aerospace industry and learn about our company and its operations.

Requirements

Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through completion of the internship session.
Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship session.
Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA

Nice To Haves

Experience using computer aided design (CAD) software, ANSYS/FEA, or scheduling software for tracking task progress.
Experience collaborating with a team to develop innovative ideas.
Experience communicating clear and effective messages to a broad audience.
Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.

Responsibilities
