About The Position

The Aftermarket Manufacturing Specialist is responsible for quoting and defining best practices for machined aftermarket parts. This role serves as a key support function between Sales and Manufacturing, focused on identifying the most efficient, cost-effective, and responsive methods to manufacture parts in Green Bay to meet customer needs. The position emphasizes speed, manufacturability, and cost accuracy while ensuring alignment between customer requirements and shop floor capabilities.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology, Machining, or related field preferred; or a minimum of two (2) years of manufacturing engineering or related technical experience.
  • Experience in machining, manufacturing operations, quoting, or process improvement within a high-mix manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong customer service mindset with the ability to respond with urgency, balance competing priorities, and support aftermarket customer commitments.
  • Solid understanding of machining and manufacturing processes, with the ability to evaluate manufacturability, cost, and lead-time tradeoffs.
  • Ability to translate customer and Sales requirements into clear, executable manufacturing plans.
  • Working knowledge of CNC machining, tooling, fixturing, materials, and production workflows.
  • Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills in a fast-paced, high-mix manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Production teams.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify and implement process efficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Estimate part costs, including raw material, machining labor, and related processing requirements.
  • Estimate lead times and actively support expediting parts through the machine shop to meet customer commitments.
  • Serve as a manufacturing process expert for the Sales team by providing essential manufacturing knowledge and feasibility input.
  • Support facility transformation initiatives, including technology transfer and ongoing support of mixed-model manufacturing and/or value stream operations.
  • Implement demand-driven principles and strategies that support operational excellence and long-range planning, with an emphasis on flexibility, speed, and responsiveness.
  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods using knowledge of product design, materials, fabrication processes, tooling, production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
  • Apply continuous improvement tools to reduce cycle time, process variation, defects, changeover time, and overall lead time.
  • Act as a liaison and advocate between Design Engineering and Operations to ensure manufacturability and execution alignment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and manufacturing data within ERP/MRP systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
