About The Position

We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated and talented individuals to work as Lead Instructors in our after school programs. Lead instructors guide students through our world class project based learning curriculum to learn new technology skills in coding, Minecraft, ROBLOX, video editing, game design and more! This is a seasonal, part-time, hourly position. Full school year in 6-8 week sessions, with options to continue into additional seasons for the full school year and summer. Get in-room technology experience with excited students. Paid training! No formal experience required, but teaching experience in some capacity highly preferred.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Experience working with children ages 8-14 and/or technology.
Must be available after school hours (approximately 2:00 - 5:00), M-F.
Reliable transportation throughout Saugus school district.
Comfortable working with teacher-to-student ratios of 12/1.

Nice To Haves

Teaching experience in some capacity.
Experience with technology.
Experience with children in an educational setting.
Strong technology skills, such as a background in 3D modeling, digital arts, coding, game creation or design, animation, robotics, modifying games, video editing, competitive gaming, etc. or significant knowledge of Minecraft or Roblox, including modding or streaming.

Responsibilities

Guide students through a project-based learning curriculum to learn new technology skills in coding, Minecraft, ROBLOX, video editing, game design and more.
Provide in-room technology experience with students.
Transport equipment weighing up to 25 pounds daily as needed.
