About The Position
Mad Science is hiring a part-time STEM instructor with a flexible schedule. The role involves teaching science workshops to children from Pre-K to 6th grade in various locations such as schools, daycares, or park and rec centers. The company provides all necessary supplies, equipment, and curriculum for these fun and engaging science classes. Instructors will lead one-hour interactive science lessons after receiving paid training. The job offers a non-traditional work schedule, aligning with the gig economy, and allows for autonomy within a supportive team environment. Mad Science has been inspiring imaginative learning for over 35 years through various programs.
Requirements
- Flexible, creative, engaging, and possess excellent verbal communication skills.
- Love children, science, teaching, and/or acting.
- Own or have regular access to a car.
- Ability to take initiative and lead.
- Thrive in environments with both support and autonomy.
- Excited by non-traditional work schedules and the gig economy.
- Not afraid to try new things and enjoy variety.

Responsibilities
