About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and engaging STEM After School Instructor to lead our Makers Club program for students in grades K-8. This role involves facilitating hands-on STEM activities and fostering a love for learning in a fun and interactive environment. The instructor will be responsible for delivering the curriculum, managing classroom dynamics, and ensuring a positive and educational experience for all participants.

Requirements

Experience working with children in a K-8th grade setting.
Strong knowledge and passion for STEM subjects.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage a classroom and engage young learners.
Reliable and punctual.
Ability to prepare and deliver lesson plans.
Background check may be required.

Nice To Haves

Experience in curriculum development or lesson planning for STEM programs.
Familiarity with various makerspace tools and technologies.
Previous experience as an after-school program instructor.
Certification in CPR and First Aid.

Responsibilities

Lead and facilitate STEM-focused activities for K-8th grade students in the Makers Club program.
Deliver engaging and educational content aligned with the program's curriculum.
Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
Prepare materials and set up the classroom for each session.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and program coordinators.
Adapt activities to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students.
Maintain attendance records and provide feedback on student progress.
