About The Position

AlphaBEST Education provides extended-day, summer, and enrichment programs that engage students in a fun, safe environment. The After School Site Director leads the day-to-day operation of an after-school program, supporting students’ learning and development while ensuring a high-quality experience for students and families. The role includes overseeing staff, curriculum implementation, safety, licensing compliance, documentation, resources, and relationships with families, school staff, and AlphaBEST leadership. The position is part-time, Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., with no weekends. Starting pay is $20.50 per hour, based on education.

Requirements

• A BA/BS or CDA in education.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs.
• Successfully complete a background check as required by state childcare licensing regulations.
• Provide proof of experience as required by state childcare licensing standards.

Nice To Haves

• At least 3 years of experience in a school-age program or teaching setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations, including schedules, ratios, staffing, and documentation.
• Oversee and facilitate curriculum implementation and ensure activities meet program expectations.
• Build a safe and inclusive environment aligned with licensing requirements and AlphaBEST standards.
• Prioritize child safety and follow applicable procedures.
• Maintain licensing compliance, documentation, and readiness for inspections.
• Track and manage site resources, attendance, and food program requirements.
• Supervise and mentor the site team, provide coaching and feedback, and ensure training requirements are met.
• Represent AlphaBEST professionally at school and community events.
• Build strong relationships with families, school staff, and AlphaBEST leadership to support student success.
