About The Position

The Amy Sanders Library in Sherwood, Arkansas, is seeking a customer-service-oriented individual to assist with after-school operations and public service duties. The position is part-time, scheduled Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. during the regular school year. Hours may vary during the summer and other school breaks. Starting pay is $15.00 per hour. Applications are accepted until the position is filled.

Requirements

• Ability to interact positively and effectively with children, teens, and the public while enforcing rules of conduct and expectations.
• Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods; lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds; and bend, squat, and reach as needed.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and orderly library environment during after-school hours.
• Monitor library spaces and the parking lot to support safety during student dismissal and pickup times.
• Assist with Be Mighty meal service.
• Assist visitors with general questions and direct them to appropriate library resources and services.
• Support library staff with other assigned duties.
