About The Position

Dermatology & Advanced Skin Care is a growing, well-established, multi-doctor dermatology practice in the Columbia area. The Aesthetician performs facial and body procedures to improve, maintain, or enhance the appearance and health of patients’ skin. Treatments include facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, Hydrafacials, and Diamond Glow treatments. The role also involves consulting with patients, recommending skin care products, following up after treatment, educating patients, and creating individualized in-office and at-home skin care plans. The Aesthetician should be familiar with cosmetic procedures performed in the office and make appropriate referrals to providers. The position requires maintaining a clean, neat, hygienic work area and accurate patient chart documentation in accordance with office protocols. The role is full-time and requires availability Monday through Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills in person and on the phone.
• Friendly, professional, and well organized, with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of different skin care treatments and products.
• At least 1 year of Aesthetician experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be licensed in Maryland.
• Must be certified by an accredited aesthetic school.
• Available to work Monday through Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Perform facial and body procedures, including facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, Hydrafacials, and Diamond Glow treatments.
• Conduct consultations and recommend skin care products.
• Follow up with patients after treatments to ensure their expectations are met or exceeded.
• Maintain knowledge of cosmetic procedures performed in the office and make appropriate referrals to providers.
• Educate patients about skin care and develop individualized treatment plans for in-office care and home care regimens.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and hygienic work area.
• Document patient information accurately in charts according to office protocols.
